The core network is represented below. These “backbone” nodes are usually operating 24 hours per day. Several mobile nodes come and go as they are deployed for testing. Check the status of these nodes on the links opposite. We are working at 2.4Ghz and weather conditions, the state of the tides (yes – there can be unwanted reflections specific to a given tide height) or passing ships may disturb the quality of the link or even disrupt it altogether. We are working to providing triangular cells of resilience to overcome such problems and we welcome the support of suitably located radio amateurs who may be able to host one of our nodes.
